Casual Guide
We are looking for a casual guide to showcase the Raptor Refuge and Tasmania’s raptors as part of a small dedicated team. Private tours are for small groups only, making it a very personal experience for our visitors.
Our guides must be well presented, have a bubbly personality, be reliable, be able to tailor talks to many different age groups and have excellent time management skills. Prior knowledge of Tasmanian raptors and guiding skills are a bonus but not a necessity. Own transport and flexibility with working hours are required.
Primary Tasks
- Guiding private tours
- Raking, sweeping and general upkeep of grounds/facilities
- Gift shop sales
Occasional tasks
- Aviary husbandry
- Feeding and feed preparation
- Feed collection and storage
- Gardening/mulching
This role will be renumerated in accordance with the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award, based on experience.
