Embark on an extraordinary adventure by booking a private guided tour to get up close with these sensational raptors at our refuge. Our exclusive Walk and Talks provide an intimate experience, though during peak periods, two small groups maybe combined.

On this captivating tour, you’ll encounter many species of eagles, hawks, falcons and owls. Our knowledgeable guides will share their stories and teach you all about their amazing superpowers! Nestled in the bushland of Kettering, the Raptor Refuge offers a beautiful way to spend a morning or afternoon, creating lifelong memories while supporting our compelling and vital conservation efforts. 

Our passion for these birds is evident from the moment you arrive at our carpark. The stunning beauty of these creatures is beyond compare, and we take immense pride in our refuge, its grounds, and the birds in residence. Enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience.

Booking Details

All bookings must be approved in advance. Please complete the booking form on this page. Once submitted, you will receive an email with your booking confirmation and details.

  • Pricing:
    Wednesday–Saturday: $175 for up to 2 people
    Sunday: $200 for up to 2 people
    Additional guests: $75 per extra adult, $37.50 per extra child (15 years and under)
  • Duration: 1.5 hours
  • Location: Kettering, Tasmania

Important Notes

  • To visit the Raptor Refuge guests must be a member of a Bird Watching Club. You can join the Channel Bird watching Club For free when booking a session if required.
  • To book a Private Walk and Talk Tour you can book a minimum of one (1) day in advance.

How to Book

  1. Select your tour date and time.
    Pick your preferred tour time.

  2. Choose the number of guests.
    The price covers up to 2 people. You can add extra guests at the next step.

  3. Complete the booking form.
    Fill in your details and submit the form to confirm your booking.

Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive an email with all the details.
